The cumberbun extender is an extension strap for the BCD and is intended to extend your hip belt if it does not fit the standard BCD. The cumberbun can be attached to the cummerbund of the BCD using the Velcro. Thanks to this extension strap, it is no longer necessary to buy a larger BCD than you actually need because the hip strap does not fit.
